Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Any Button Games (“we”, “us”) processes when you visit this website or play our games, why we do it, and what rights you have. We keep it as short as we can: we collect as little as possible, we don’t sell your data, and our games don’t require an account with us.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Email: anybuttongame@gmail.com. Please write to this address with any privacy question or request.
2. This website
- No cookies, no tracking. This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking. Fonts and images are served from our own server.
- Hosting and server logs. This website is hosted by Hostinger, which acts as our data processor. To deliver the pages, the server necessarily receives technical data from your browser: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system, and the referring page. This data may be recorded in server log files for technical operation and security. We don’t use it to identify visitors or combine it with other data (legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website).
- YouTube videos. The trailer on our home page is only loaded from YouTube (Google) after you click play. Before that, no data is sent to YouTube. After you click, YouTube processes your data according to Google’s Privacy Policy. We use the privacy-enhanced (“nocookie”) mode.
- External links. Links to Steam, itch.io, Discord, YouTube and social networks take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
3. Meow Sweeper
Meow Sweeper is available on Android, iOS and PC (Steam). The game itself does not ask for your name, email or any account, and we don’t run a server for it.
Data stored on your device
Your progress (completed levels, Cat Coins, gadgets, skins, statistics and settings) is saved only on your device. We don’t receive it. Uninstalling the game (or clearing its data) deletes it.
Advertising (mobile versions only)
The free mobile versions show ads using Google AdMob, an advertising service of Google. To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, AdMob may collect:
- your device’s advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA, only if you allow it), and other device identifiers;
- IP address and the approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information (model, operating system, language, app version);
- ad interactions (which ads were shown or tapped) and diagnostic data.
Your choice: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s consent tool (User Messaging Platform). To change your choice later, clear the game’s data or reinstall it, and the consent form will appear again, or write to us. If you don’t consent, you may still see non-personalised ads. You can also reset or limit your advertising ID in your phone’s settings.
Legal basis: your consent for personalised ads and for accessing information on your device; our legitimate interest in funding a free game with non-personalised ads and preventing fraud. Learn more: How Google uses information from apps that use its services, Google Privacy Policy.
Optional rewarded ads (for example to continue a level) are only shown when you choose to watch one. Buying the ad-free option turns off all other ads.
In-app purchases
Purchases (Cat Coins, ad-free) are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see your payment details; we only receive a confirmation that a purchase was made so the game can deliver it. Legal basis: performance of a contract. See the Google and Apple privacy policies.
PC version (Steam)
The Steam version has no ads and no in-game purchases. Your purchase, account and achievements are handled by Valve. See the Steam Privacy Policy.

4. Lumen the Red Panda
Lumen the Red Panda (PC, Steam; demo also on itch.io) does not collect personal data. It has no ads, no accounts and no online features operated by us. Your save files stay on your computer. Your purchase and Steam account are handled by Valve (Steam Privacy Policy); downloads from itch.io are handled by itch.io (itch.io Privacy Policy).
5. The Storyteller
The Storyteller has online features (multiplayer, chat, sharing custom images) and collects anonymous gameplay statistics. Its own terms and privacy policy are available on the game’s website: thestoryteller.games/terms. In short:
- Custom images you use in the game are uploaded to our server so other players in your session can download them. Anyone with the image’s automatically generated ID can download it.
- We collect anonymous statistics about how the game is played (for example, whether you play as a storyteller or a hero) to improve the game. These statistics are not shared with third parties.
- Multiplayer and your Steam account are provided through Steam (Valve).
6. When you contact us
If you email us or message us on Discord or social media, we use your message and contact details only to answer you (legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying, or taking steps at your request).
7. Who we share data with
We don’t sell personal data. Data is processed by the following providers, only as described above:
- Hostinger International Ltd. (Cyprus) – website hosting.
- Google (according to Google’s Privacy Policy, Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA and Switzerland, Google LLC elsewhere) – AdMob advertising and consent (mobile versions of Meow Sweeper), YouTube (only after you click a video), Google Play purchases, Gmail for our email.
- Apple – App Store purchases (iOS).
- Valve Corporation – Steam store, accounts and multiplayer.
- itch.io – downloads from our itch.io page.
We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.
8. International transfers
Some providers (for example Google, Apple and Valve) may process data in the United States or other countries outside the EEA. Where this happens, transfers are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. How long we keep data
- Website server logs: only as long as needed for technical operation and security, then deleted by the hosting provider.
- Game progress: only on your device, until you delete the game or its data.
- Advertising data: kept by Google according to its own retention policy.
- Emails: as long as needed to answer you.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- have incorrect data corrected and have data deleted;
- restrict or object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- data portability;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
Because our games don’t send us personal data, most data is held by the providers listed above. If you have any questions or requests, write to us at anybuttongame@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
California and other US residents: we do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioural advertising outside of the ad consent described above. You can opt out of personalised ads with your device’s advertising settings.
11. Children
Our games are made for a general audience: anyone can play them, but they are not specifically directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our games or the law change. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top. If a change is significant, we will also announce it in the game or on our Discord.
